Sony Receives 2002 Supplier of the Year Award

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 21, 2002 Sony Electronics today announced that it has received the 2002 Supplier
of the Year Award from Cisco Systems, Inc. in the electro/mechanical category.
Sony provides power supplies for many of CiscoÕs enterprise networking products. Demonstration of Sony's ability to
enhance Cisco's technology yielded a positive impact in customer satisfaction level.
This prestigious award was one of eight presented to valued Cisco suppliers at the company's 11th annual supplier
appreciation awards program held last month.
"This award is a testament to our commitment and determination in continuing to strengthen our strategic relationship
with Cisco," said Yoji Kato, president of Sony Electronics' Semiconductor and Electronic Devices Division.

selected recipients of the 2002 Cisco Supplier Appreciation Awards.
