SONY RECEIVES TWO BEST-IN-CLASS AWARDS FROM SUN MICROSYSTEMS
SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 1, 2003 Sony Electronics today announced that it has been recognized with two
Best-in-Class Awards from Sun Microsystems, Inc. for efforts made throughout Sun's 2003 fiscal year.
Sony was awarded the Best-in-Class award for Custom Silicon Products for the support of ultra-high speed SRAM
products, and another Best-in-Class award for Power Supply products. The awards mark the fourth consecutive year
that Sony has been recognized as part of the Sun Supplier Awards program.
Sony provides power supplies and ultra high-speed SRAMs for Sun's data center products and mid-to-entry-level
computing servers, which help contribute to Sun's performance leadership in the workstation and server market.
