SONY SEMICONDUCTOR ANNOUNCES WEB SITE


SAN JOSE, June 21, 1996 -- Whether you need Static RAM, CCDs, TV and audio ICs, serial/optical communication ICs or multimedia devices, point your browser to www.sony.com/semi, and access the world of on-line design. Sony Semiconductor Company of America today announced the grand opening of their web site, the perfect place to go if you need information on Sony or the wide variety of semiconductors it offers.

Searching for the right Sony product requires only the click of a button. With the "Search for Product" function, users can browse through Sony's product offering to find exactly what they need. From here, they can link to "View by Product" for complete details of features and specifications. A "Sales Locations" button lists sales and distribution channels where customers can purchase the product or obtain additional information.

Comprehensive and easy-to-use, the site offers web users the latest information and a sneak peek at what's to come. A "What's New" button is a direct connection to new product descriptions and company news. There's also a "Future Products" link, giving a quick preview to future Sony Semiconductor innovations.

The "Feedback" button makes it easy to communicate with Sony. Here specific questions and design issues can be a ddressed in detail. Answers will be returned quickly via e-mail.
